Carnage

Production design and visual effects for a feature-length BBC comedy/documentary, written and designed by Simon Amstell.

Set in a vegan utopia in 2067, the film looks back over our history of eating meat, and how we came to give it up. Through a lens of archive footage (some real, some constructed), the film traces the changing attitude towards the consumption of animal products throughout the ages, extending through to the 2020s, 30s and 40s. Production design involved creating a distinct look, and a believable technological roadmap for each of these eras, informing locations, costume, props and visual effects.

Keiichi Matsuda: Production Designer / VFX

Raymond Hugh Bray: Additional Effects
